Breakfast!

It turns out a cold smoothie for breakfast in the middle of winter is not all that appetizing and probably not that great for your digestion. But all that healthy STUFF you can cram into a smoothie! The solution? duh duh da da! Oatmeal!! (bonus points for gluten free, steel cut, but quick oats are good too). The cool thing is that you can add all the same stuff to your oatmeal as you do to your smoothie, and you won’t need all that many oats to satisfy you.
Libby’s morning oatmeal
1/2 cup of cooked oatmeal
1/2 cup of defrosted blueberries
1/2 a warmed banana
1 tbsp almond butter
1 tbsp walnuts (bonus points for soaked)
1 tbsp pumpkin or sunflower seeds
a dash of whatever milk floats your boat
salt.
yum.
(PS, if you dislike purple oatmeal, you might not want to use frozen blueberries:)
